Hamilton School District’s prescription medication drop-off process has changed to ensure the safety and well-being of its students. Medication that needs to be administered during the school day should be delivered to the school health room before the start of school.
Families at Willow Springs and the elementary schools should contact administrative assistants to arrange for drop-off. The intermediate, middle and high schools have set specific summer dates and times when families may provide medications directly to health room paraprofessionals. The drop-off dates are:
Silver Spring Intermediate School
- Aug. 31 – 11:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Sept. 1 – 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Sept. 2 – 7:30 a.m. – noon
Templeton Middle School
- Aug. 9 – 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Aug. 17 – 11:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Aug. 31 – 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Hamilton High School
- Aug. 16 – 1 – 6 p.m.
- Aug. 17 – 7 – 11 a.m.
- Aug. 31 – 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This process allows administrative assistants and health room paraprofessionals to better document the prescription information before school begins. Families unable to drop off medications before the start of school will still be able to do so after the school year begins.
Families are reminded that a medication permission form needs to accompany all medications that are dropped off at school. Medication forms are posted on the district website“District Forms & Annual Notices”page.
