Five schools in the Hamilton School District were recognized by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and Wisconsin RtI Center. Three elementary schools – Lannon, Maple Avenue and Marcy – along with Silver Spring Intermediate and Templeton Middle were honored for successfully building schoolwide supports aimed at closing achievement gaps.
“By establishing these supports, schools like those in the Hamilton School District are increasing the consistency of effective instruction for all students, building staff knowledge and skills to support all learners,” according to a news release from the Wisconsin RtI Center.
The news release goes on to say that using data to more quickly provide support for students creates a proactive culture that builds stronger relationships with students and their families.
